BIG MT. SKIER

Appearing in the past 9 films by Teton Gravity Research and several films by Warren Miller and other production companies, Griffin has made significant descents from the Tetons to the Arctic Circle, earning accolades from ESPN and Powder magazine along the way.

Born in Austria and raised in Sun Valley, Idaho, Griffin now calls Jackson Hole home. Earning skills and notoriety through the Freeride World Tour, Griffin now spends his winter creating memorable film segments. Since TGR's 2013 film “Way of Life”, Griffin has left his mark on the Tetons, skiing the East Face of the Middle Teton, Apocalypse Couloir, Mt. Moran and countless other peaks with a style and grace all his own. Griffin is as passionate a skier as the come, but he considers skiing a means to accomplish larger, big picture goals.

Athlete and writer, the two-time US Extreme Freeskiing champion has also written about his adventures — from Alaska’s Brooks Range to the Chilean Andes — in the pages of Powder, Freeskier, and Skiing magazines.
